Preview
Oregon State has a chance to improve to 13-0 in this game, and match their win total from last season. After going just 13-18 in 2022-23, the Beavers look like a completely different team so far. 2nd-year F Raegen Beers has been a major reason for their success. She is currently averaging nearly 20 ppg and 12 rpg on over 70% shooting. Oregon State will continue to rely on Beers to dominate opponents in the paint.
USC saw their undefeated season end on the road against #2 UCLA, but their defeat was still an overall positive sign. The Trojans trailed by just one point entering halftime, and kept it close with the unbeaten Bruins until the very end. They’ve exceeded expectations so far after opening the year ranked just #21, led by star Freshman JuJu Watkins. USC will aim to bounce back against another unbeaten team this week.
Prediction
This is a stellar matchup between two Pac-12 teams that have blown by their expectations so far this year. Oregon State is the only undefeated team in the country that remains unranked, possibly due to their 13-18 record last season, but will have the chance to prove themselves against USC. Meanwhile, the Trojans have been far better than expected as well. They should be able to overwhelm the Beavers at home here.
NCAAW Picks:
- USC 74, Oregon State 67 ()
