Preview
TCU got a much-needed win at Oklahoma State on Tuesday, after losing three of the fives games before then. Despite their 3-3 stretch, the Horned Frogs did pick up two stellar wins during that time against Oklahoma and Houston. Meanwhile, the three losses in that span came by totals of just 1, 2, and 4 points. TCU will aim to keep up their competitive play in what will be a very tough test against Baylor on the road.
Baylor lost a couple of road games last week, sliding to #15 in the top-25. They’ve played well this season, but have struggled like many on the road. Fortunately, the Bears will return home for an important game against TCU. They’ll be aiming for an offensive breakout after cooling off in their last few games. Leading-scorer Ja’Kobe Walter has made an impressive impact for Baylor as a Freshman. He’ll be key again here.
Prediction
This is another Big-12 matchup between two solid teams that should easily make the NCAA Tournament. Either one has a chance of coming away with the win, but Baylor has a key advantage on their home court. I expect this game to stay close until the very end, when the Bears pull away to get a much-needed win.
NCAAB Picks:
- Baylor 80, TCU 73 ()
