How to Watch

Preview

Tennessee was unable to defeat a surging South Carolina team at home on Tuesday, falling to 15-5 on the season. They’ll have an opportunity to bounce back and get back in the win column against Kentucky in a crucial top-10 matchup. The Volunteers are very safely within the projected NCAA Tournament field, but can still better their standing in the SEC with a win. Guard Dalton Knect will continue to lead the way here.

Kentucky fell to 3-3 over their last 6 games, following their loss to Florida. It’s been a concerning stretch for a team that had climbed to #6 in the country. They’ll aim to right the ship in this key matchup against the Volunteers. The Wildcats have won their last two matchups against Tennessee, but are 4-4 against them since 2020. Kentucky has an experienced Guard of their own in Antonio Reeves, who will be crucial.

Prediction

This game should be another competitive battle between two top-10 teams. It has major implications for the eventually seeding in the SEC Tournament, as both teams aim to build their tournament rรฉsumรฉs as well. Currently, I see Tennessee as the better team of the two, by a marginal amount. That being said, the Wildcats will have a key advantage being at home in this game. I see Kentucky winning this one by a hair.
