Preview
Texas continues to fight their way through a difficult Big-12 schedule. They’re 6-3 in conference play so far, with two more big ranked matchups up next. They’ll be aiming to get revenge against Baylor in this game for beating them in their Big-12 opener. The Longhorns have an excellent defense, which has been a large reason for their success. Freshman Madison Booker has been one of Texas’ best two-way players.
Baylor got an important win against Oklahoma State on Sunday, after losing 3 of their last 4 games prior to that. They’ll aim to add to their newfound momentum in a rematch against a Texas team that they already beat once on the road. The Bears match up similarly to Texas, with a stfiling defense and an hot or cold offense. They’ll look for offensive consistency in this game against Texas, before going back on the road.
Prediction
After winning this matchup the first time around on the road, Baylor is certainly the popular pick to win the rematch. I’d be a little hesitant to trust it, with season splits being more common in college than season sweeps. That being said, these teams match up evenly, so I do ultimately see Baylor winning it at home.
NCAAW Picks:
- Baylor 79, Texas 72 ()
