Preview

UCLA had their undefeated run snapped this week after starting out 14-0. They played well at USC, but ultimately came up short on the road. The Bruins match up very evenly with the Trojans. They are 1-1 against each other, with UCLA winning 71-64 at home and losing 73-65 on the road. They’ll face another top-tier Pac-12 opponent here in Colorado. Lauren Betts and Kiki Rice will continue to lead the Bruins.

Colorado improved to 5-0 in Pac-12 play following their dominant win over Stanford. It was their second win against a top-10 team this season, vaulting the Buffaloes into the #3 spot in the AP Top 25. They currently project as a 1-2 seed in the NCAA Tournament, with legitimate title aspirations. Much of Colorado’s success is due to their balanced play. They’ve won 8 of their last 9 games by double digits.

Prediction

This should be another premier matchup in a dominant Pac-12. Both of these teams rank in the top-5, giving the winner an opportunity to pick up another enormously notable victory. They’ll also claim key positioning to fight for the top spot in the conference. Overall, I believe the Bruins are the team better built for sustained success. That being said, Colorado is red-hot and will be brutally tough to defeat at home.

NCAAW Picks:

  • Colorado 76, UCLA 73 ()
