Preview

Buffalo had a solid performance last season. They finished at 7-6, earning their 3rd bowl victory in the past 4 years. The Bulls are also now the two-time winners of the Camellia Bowl, winning it in both 2020 and 2022. QB Cole Snyder will return to Buffalo for his senior season, providing a good sense of familiarity and reliability at the position. Buffalo will have a solid chance at winning the MAC Conference this season.

Wisconsin had a down season last year. After opening the year ranked #18, they lost at home in Week 2 to a scrappy Washington State squad. From there, the Badgers never really recovered, trading wins and losses until they eventually finished 7-6. They managed to salvage the season with a bowl win, but they’ll have even higher hopes this season. A Week 2 rematch against Washington State will be on their minds.

Prediction

This could potentially fit the description of a trap game. Instead of opening against an FCS squad like last year, the Badgers will draw a solid Buffalo team with a ton of experience. If they let their eyes wander to revenge in Week 2, they could find themselves falling behind early. That being said, I see the Badgers ultimately taking care of business. I don’t love their chances of covering a spread that large though.
