Preview
Colorado was among the worst teams in college football last season, finishing just 1-11 on the year. Their -251 point differential illustrates just how bad they were last season. Despite their struggles, the Buffaloes are actually on the come up. They brought in Deion Sanders to be head coach, bringing with him several top recruits from Jackson State and the 2023 class. Colorado has a chance to exit the Pac-12 on a high.
TCU shocked everyone in 2022, going 12-0 in the regular season. That earned them a spot in the CFP, where the Horned Frogs took down Michigan en route to the title game. Unfortunately, that’s where their success ended, with Georgia winning the finals 65-7. TCU will need to overcome key losses on offense, including QB Max Duggan, RB Kendre Miller, WRs Quentin Johnston and Derius Davis, and OL Steve Avila.
Prediction
If this game happened towards the end of last season, TCU probably would have been favored by 40 points. However, a lot has changed since then. The Horned Frogs saw half their offense enter the NFL Draft, while the Buffaloes brought in Deion Sanders and some new talent. That alone won’t be enough for Colorado to win this game, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they cover the spread. TCU should still win easily.
