Georgia remained unbeaten on Saturday, winning a surprisingly close game against Georgia Tech. The Bulldogs are the two-time defending champions, and have not lost since the regular season back in 2021. They’ll have an excellent test this week against a resurgent Alabama team. Georgia is likely to make the College Football Playoff field regardless of the result of this game, but a win will cement them at the top.

Alabama won their 10th straight game last week, taking down Auburn in their rivalry game. The Crimson Tide have a great strength of record, but are in a difficult position with their loss to Texas preventing them from jumping ahead of the pack. Because of that, Alabama needs a win in this game to make the CFP, but even then the result may still be uncertain. For now, they just need to focus on toppling Georgia’s dynasty.

Prediction

This should be another stellar SEC Championship Game between two college football blue bloods, with massive stakes on the line. The winner of this game will very likely make the CFP, while the loser will sweat it out on Sunday. I expect a much more competitive game for Alabama than their past few matchups with Georgia. Ultimately, I see the Bulldogs beating the Crimson Tide in a game that comes down to the wire.
