Preview
Kansas climbed back into the rankings after dominating UCF last week. They put their 26-point loss to Texas behind them, climbing ahead of UCF early and never looking back. The Jayhawks will get a chance at redemption in a couple of weeks when they host an Oklahoma team that just bested Texas. Before that, they’ll have to avoid a disappointment on the road against a Cowboys team that just upset Kansas State.
Oklahoma State improved to 3-2 with their win over the Wildcats, snapping their 2-game losing streak. The Cowboys 33-7 loss to South Alabama in Week 3 is looking more and more like a fluke, as they’ve been competitive in all of their other games. They’ll aim to continue that trend this week against Kansas. Oklahoma State has the opportunity earn back-to-back home victories against the Big-12’s Kansas teams.
Prediction
Despite Oklahoma State’s success against Kansas State last week, I still believe they have a lot of holes that need to be fixed; holes that will be easily exploited by the Jayhawks offense. On the other hand, Kansas starting QB Jalon Daniels is doubtful to play with a back injury, making the result a lot less certain. Ultimately, I still see backup QB Jason Bean playing well enough to get Kansas the win on the road here.
NCAAF Picks:
- Kansas 27, Oklahoma State 20 ()
