Preview
Louisville picked up their 3rd straight win, remaining as one of a handful of teams with one loss or fewer. Since their rough defeat in Pittsburgh, the Cardinals have outscored their next three opponents by a score of 88-27. Louisville is flying under the radar a bit, but still has an opportunity to climb the rankings. A win here would help their ACC title game hopes, setting up a chance to beat Florida State and make the CFP.
Miami has gone 2-4 in their last six games, after opening the season 4-0 in non-conference play and climbing to #17. They played a more competitive game against Florida State than they had against NC State in the week prior, but still came away with a loss. The Hurricanes are already bowl eligible, but will be looking to improve on their 2-4 ACC record. They need their offense to heat up to have a chance here.
Prediction
Louisville enters this game as the underdog on the road, despite being ranked #10 in the country and facing an unranked team that is on a losing skid. Both the CFP committee and bookmakers are fully underestimating a Cardinals team that has been excellent in 9 of 10 games this season. I expect Miami to put up a fight at home, but I see Louisville winning this game on the road without too much trouble.
