Maryland is currently the only undefeated power-5 team that is not ranked in the top-25. They wound up just 9 votes shy in the latest poll, despite improving to 5-0 last week. The Terps have looked good on both sides of the ball, outscoring the opposition 193-66 so far this season. As perhaps the most slept on team in college football, Maryland has a perfect opportunity to show the world what they can do at Ohio State.

Ohio State had last week to rest after their thrilling come-from-behind victory over Notre Dame in Week 4. They dominated their other 3 opponents, but didn’t face as tough competition. Big-10 play has begun, giving the Buckeyes a chance to establish themselves as either contenders or pretenders. This game against Maryland is a tough first conference test, with Penn State also looming in just a couple of weeks.

Prediction

With just 22 undefeated teams remaining, all eyes will be on the matchups that feature two unbeatens. This is one of those games, featuring a clash between two Big-10 teams. Ohio State is a massive favorite at home, and should be the better team in this game. That being said, I don’t feel super confident picking them to cover a 20-point spread against a tough Maryland defense. I’ll just take the Buckeyes to win here.
