Preview
Michigan blew past Nebraska last week, continuing to dominate their opposition. The Wolverines have not scored less than 30 points or allowed more than 7 points in any of their first five games, outscoring their opponents 172-30 so far this season. At the same time, they’ve also faced a relatively soft schedule. It won’t get much tougher until November 11 at Penn State, so Michigan will aim to keep winning confidently.
Minnesota snapped their 2-game losing streak last week with their win over Louisiana. They’ve got an uphill battle to bowl eligibility, with the easiest part of their schedule behind them. The Golden Gophers do have some encouraging signs for the future of their program. True freshman RB Darius Taylor has been phenomenal. He’s rushed for 532 yards and 4 TDs so far this year, while averaging over 6 yards per carry.
Prediction
Michigan has won each game this season by an average of 28 points, so this line looks pretty good for them. Minnesota has a solid defense and run game, as well as the home field advantage here, but they shouldn’t be anything much different than what the Wolverines have already seen this season. It may be a bit closer than other weeks, but I still feel good about taking Michigan to keep rolling to another win here.
