The college football season is at its peak! Let’s preview the upcoming Michigan vs Penn State game. This game has enormous implications for both teams and the CFP. The winner will control their own destiny.

Preview

Michigan continued to dominate their opposition last week, facing little difficulty against Purdue. The Wolverines have been college football’s most complete team this season. That being said, they’ve faced some criticism due to a very weak schedule. That all ends this week, with a road trip to #10 Penn State. If the Wolverines manage to dominate once again this week, they’ll cement themselves as a title contender.

Penn State bounced back from their defeat to Ohio State with two more solid wins, continuing to remain in CFP contention. They have their 2nd of two huge games this week against Michigan. The Nittany Lions traveled to Ohio State, but will host Michigan, giving them an advantage that they didn’t have in their loss. A defeat here would eliminate Penn State from CFP contention, while a win would put them in the top-5.

Prediction

This is a very important game for these two teams. Michigan gets their first chance to prove themselves against a ranked opponent, and a top-10 team no less. Meanwhile, Penn State has a chance to do at home what they couldn’t do against Ohio State on the road. They went 0-2 against Michigan and Ohio State last season, but 11-0 against everyone else. They may see a similar result again. I’ll take Michigan on the road.
