It was a good bounce back win for a Wolfpack team whose two losses both came against teams that are currently ranked. They’ll aim for a different result this week in their 3rd ranked matchup against Duke, seeking to remain in contention in the ACC. They’ll need their defense to bounce back here.
Duke had a week off to stew in their defeat against Notre Dame and prepare for this game. Despite the loss, the Blue Devils remain in contention. They have no ACC losses, which allows them to control their destiny in the ACC title race. Road games at #4 Florida State, #12 UNC, and #14 Louisville provide plenty of chances to build their rรฉsumรฉ. To start, they need to get back in the win column here against NC State.
Prediction
This should be a pretty competitive ACC matchup to cap off the week’s ranked games. The Wolfpack are better than they’re given credit for, and should reach bowl eligibility. That being said, they face a tough task on the road against a well-rested Duke team that is in need of a bounce back victory. I see the Blue Devils keeping it close at first, before pulling away to win by 2 scores and cover the spread in the 2nd half.
