  • Cincinnati survived against the Rams on Monday night, winning 19-16.
  • The Titans were crushed by the Browns, losing 27-3, and dropping to 1-2.
  • These two teams last met on November 27, in a game the Bengals won 20-16.

The NFL season is in full swing. Let’s preview the upcoming Bengals vs Titans matchup. Both teams are now 1-2, but headed in different directions. The loser here will find themselves in a very tough position.

Preview

The Bengals won their Super Bowl revenge game against the Rams, avoiding an 0-3 start to the season. The most important news for Cincinnati was Joe Burrow’s ability to play without suffering any setbacks in his recovery. That should be a massive relief for the Bengals, who still have plenty of time to climb back into contention. They’ll need to take advantage of upcoming matchups against the Titans and Cardinals.

Tennessee was uncompetitive against the Browns on Sunday, losing 27-3. Their offensive line struggled to contain the rush or create holes. RB Derrick Henry finished with 11 carries for just 20 yards, while QB Ryan Tannehill completed 13 of 25 passes for only 104 yards. With Tannehill struggling, Titans fans are curious if QBs Malik Willis and Will Levis will get a chance, though they may not fare better until the line improves.

Prediction

The Titans are 1-0 at home this season and 0-2 on the road, so being at home should give them a marginal advantage. If their defense can pressure a banged-up Joe Burrow, they could keep the score of this game close. That being said, Tennessee needs everything to go right to stay in this game. It’s much more likely that the Bengals continue to heat up and win this game confidently. I’ll take Cincinnati to win and cover.
