The Buccaneers fought their way back against the Falcons late, kicking a game-tying field goal with 45 seconds left in the game. Unfortunately, Tampa Bay’s defense was unable to get a stop when they needed it most. They allowed Atlanta to drive 42 yards in those 45 seconds, eventually kicking the winner as time expired. Baker Mayfield is also hurt, raising some concerns for the Bucs after what had been a solid start.
Buffalo couldn’t shake the Patriots on Sunday, falling to 3-22 against them in their last 25 meetings. The defense had their worst showing of the year, and needs to bounce back against a banged-up Tampa Bay team. Meanwhile, their offense remains a step back from previous years, forcing the Bills into a 4-3 start. They remain 1 game behind Miami. Josh Allen will certainly win games if the defense gets back on track.
Prediction
The Bills should be able to get a win at home in this game, especially if Baker Mayfield isn’t available for the Buccaneers. That being said, their struggling offense could face some difficulty against a capable Tampa Bay defense, making covering the spread a little bit less certain. Ultimately, I see both of these teams bouncing back to a degree, but with Buffalo doing enough to get the win and cover the spread.
