Preview
The Giants had a disaster of an opener on Sunday night. They looked decent on their opening drive, but failed to reach the end zone after a penalty and bad snap by the offensive line. The Cowboys went on to block and return their FG attempt. From there, it was all downhill for the Giants. Nothing went right, as mistake led to mistake and an eventual 40-0 final score. If they lose in Week 2, their season may be over.
Arizona played pretty well in Week 1, taking a 16-10 lead into the 4th quarter at Washington. They ultimately went on to lose the game, but their level of competitiveness was encouraging for a team that had been written off as a tanking franchise. QB Josh Dobbs only averaged 4.4 yards per completion, and fumbled 3 times. It’s not hard to imagine the Cardinals having won the game with Kyler Murray at the helm
Prediction
These two teams currently rank among the league’s worst, but started the season in much different positions. The Giants had high hopes after making the playoffs last season, but completely collapsed in Week 1. On the other hand, Arizona was expected to get blown out, but wound up competitive. All that leads towards this being a pretty close game. That being said, I expect the Giants to bounce back here.
