NFC East 2023-24 Win Total Odds, and Prediction

By ยท Updated 2 years ago
  • The Eagles won the NFC East last year, finishing 14-3 on the season.
  • Washington wound up in last place, despite a decent 8-8-1 record.
  • Philadelphia is the favorite to repeat as the division champions in 2023.

As the 2023-24 NFL season rapidly approaches, let’s evaluate the NFC East division, and project the final win totals of all four teams for this season. This should be one of the NFL’s toughest divisions once again.

Philadelphia Eagles

  • 2022 Record: 14-3
  • Odds to win NFC East:

Over/Under 11.5 Wins

Team Odds
Over -130
Under +100

The Eagles won both the division and NFC conference last season, before falling to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. They lost some key starters on defense, but did a solid job of adding some additional talent as well. After selecting Jalen Carter in the 2023 NFL Draft, they added LBs Myles Jack and Zach Cunningham in free agency. Philadelphia will be good again in 2023. I don’t see them repeating 14 wins, but 12 is doable.

Dallas Cowboys

  • 2022 Record: 12-5
  • Odds to win NFC East:

Over/Under 9.5 Wins

Team Odds
Over -145
Under +115

The Cowboys had another solid regular season last year, finishing with 12 wins, but ultimately came up short in the playoffs once again. Dallas is still seeking their first NFC Championship appearance since 1995, but has the roster to make it happen. A few questions have been raised regarding the running back position, with Elliot moving on and Pollard sitting out. If Pollard plays, Dallas should pick up 10 wins again.

New York Giants

  • 2022 Record: 9-7-1
  • Odds to win NFC East:

Over/Under 7.5 Wins

Team Odds
Under -145
Over +115

The Giants snapped a 7-year playoff drought last season. They went on to upset the Vikings in the Wild Card Round, before being smothered by Philadelphia. New York returned their entire coaching staff, giving QB Daniel Jones some needed consistency. Locking down Saquon Barkley and adding TE Darren Waller should help elevate the offense. I’d slam the over here for a Giants team that should reach 10 or 11 wins.

Washington Commanders

  • 2022 Record: 8-8-1
  • Odds to win NFC East:

Over/Under 6.5 Wins

Team Odds
Under -125
Over -105

The Commanders managed to finish at .500 last season, despite inconsistent QB play. Between Carson Wentz and Taylor Heinicke, they spent much of the season struggling on offense. They finally turned to rookie Sam Howell in Week 18. If Howell plays well this year, the Commanders could surprise thanks to their tough defense. I wouldn’t bet on it in this division, though. I see Washington winning 6 games in 2023.
