Game Preview

The Packers’ 9-17 victory over the Chicago Bears in week 18 secured their playoff berth with a record of 9-8. Quarterback Jordan Love has had an impressive first season behind center for Green Bay, throwing for 4159 yards and 32 touchdowns. 50% of those touchdown passes were shared between two receivers, with sophomore Romeo Doubs and rookie Jayden Reed catching 8 a-piece. Running back Aaron Jones has returned to full fitness in recent weeks, and the ground game of the Packers is much improved as a result. Tight end Luke Musgrave logged a full practice on Wednesday following his return from the IR.

The Dallas Cowboys clinched the NFC East divisional title and the #2 seed along with it when they defeated the Washington Commanders 38-10 last weekend. Quarterback Dak Prescott and receiver Ceedee Lamb have formed a fantastic connection this season and the duo will be key to any playoff success that comes Dallas’ way. Prescott has thrown for 4516 yards and 36 touchdowns with just 9 interceptions this season, and Lamb has been the recipient of 12 of those scoring passes, racking up 1749 in the process.

Prediction

Vegas has this game as a high scoring affair, with a 50.5 over/under, and with these two quarterbacks on display that is no surprise. Green Bay could have one of the most talented young receiving corps in the whole NFL, but I think the experience of Dak Prescott will shine through and the Cowboys will take the win here.
