Quarterback Deshaun Watson returned to the Browns’ line up as they defeated the Cardinals 0-27 in week 9. Watson threw 19/30 completions for 219 yards and two touchdowns, finding Amari Cooper and David Njoku in the end zone. Running back Kareem Hunt added a third touchdown and picked up 38 yards on his 14 carries whilst lead back Jerome Ford rushed for 44 yards on 20 attempts. WR Marquise Goodwin has missed two practices this week and remains in concussion protocol so is unlikely to suit up on Sunday.
The Ravens’ week 9, 3-37 victory over the Seahawks was their 4th win in a row and the offense seems to be firing at present. QB Lamar Jackson left the game with an ankle injury but is expected to be fit to suit up against Cleveland, and his withdrawal was likely precautionary given the dominant situation the Ravens were in. Rookie RB Keaton Mitchell picked up 138 yards and 1 touchdown on 9 carries whilst lead back Gus Edwards found the end zone twice. The huge margin of victory allowed the Ravens to manage the game time of all their star players and that should be a big boost going into week 10.
Prediction
The Browns’ defense will present a tougher test for the Ravens than the Seahawks did in week 9. However, I expect Lamar Jackson’s men to win here but it will be a tight affair.
