The Lions come off their week 9 bye with only one fresh injury concern. New recruit Donovan Peoples-Jones, signed from the Browns prior to the trade deadline, is nursing a rib injury and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game. If he does suit up, Peoples-Jones is likely to be the third choice WR behind Amon-Ra St. Brown and Josh Reynolds.
The Chargers made light work of the Jets on Monday night, cruising to a 27-6 victory without ever really getting out of first gear. QB Justin Herbert threw only 16/30 completions for 136 yards and didn’t put up any scores. RB Austin Ekeler found the end zone twice but only rushed for 47 total yards on 14 carries. The Chargers will head into this week 10 matchup with the Lions almost as fresh as their opponents themselves, with the Lions having been on a week 9 bye.
Prediction
The Lions should win this one, but Jared Goff has historically been poor on the road. That record makes it hard to put my trust in the Lions but I will take a leap of faith here and back their superior talent to win out.
