Game Preview
The Bills made light work of their week 11 matchup with the Jets, running out 6-32 winners. Sophomore wide receiver Khalil Shakir was the star of the show with 3 receptions for 115 yards and an 81 yard touchdown. Running back James Cook continued his steady progression with 17 carries for 73 yards as well as 3 catches for 29 yards and a score. Buffalo has been inconsistent through the first part of the season but as they head into the closing stretch it is clear to see that they will remain in the hunt for the big prize.
The Eagles fought back from a 7-17 deficit at halftime to beat the Chiefs 21-17 at the close of play. QB Jalen Hurts threw for just 150 yards on 14 completions but found the end zone twice from 12 rushing attempts. DeAndre Swift also added a score whilst rushing for 76 yards from his 12 carries. The Eagles offense have looked almost unstoppable at times this season, and their defense is once again the foundation that any Superbowl charge will be based upon.
Prediction
On any given day, either of these teams could come out of this matchup with a win. In games that are tough to predict, with a very close line, I tend to side with home field advantage. On that basis I’m going for an Eagles win, in what could be the game of the weekend.
