The Lions emerged victorious in a closely contested match against the injury plagued New Orleans Saints on Sunday. The final score was 33-28, and the Lions extended their lead at the top of the NFC North. The rookie tight end, Sam LaPorta, has been an integral part of the team, receiving at least five targets in each of his last seven games. In this game, he caught all nine targets thrown his way, accumulating a total of 140 yards and scoring a touchdown. In the running back department, David Montgomery once again carried the bulk of the workload, rushing the ball 18 times for 56 yards and scoring a touchdown.
The Bears have come out of their bye week with a relatively clean bill of health and will be hoping for a strong finish to the season once again. There have been huge question marks surrounding the future of quarterback Justin Fields this year, and the best thing the 24-year-old can do to secure his position for 2024 is to win football games and cut out the interceptions that have plagued his young career.
Prediction
The Lions are considered favorites in this game, however, their recent performances have been a little inconsistent, particularly in the early stages of the game. To win this match, Chicago will need to perform at their highest level, but I believe they can defy the odds and come out on top.
