Game Preview

The Texans provided another show stopping finish to a game on Sunday, this time coming up with a red zone interception in the dying seconds to record a 17-22 win over the Broncos. Houston lost rookie sensation Tank Dell to a season ending fractured fibula during the first drive of the game, but that resulted in more work for Nico Collins. The 24-year-old wideout ended the game with 9/12 receptions for 191 yards and a touchdown, the best numbers of his career so far.

The Jets tried both Tim Boyle and Trevor Siemian at quarterback during their 13-8 defeat at the hands of the Falcons, but neither made any real impact on the game. Zach Wilson has been named as the starter once again for week 14, and it is now clear that he is the best of a bad bunch available to New York. Rookie wide receiver Xavier Gipson was the only Jet to record any numbers worthy of note, catching 5 of 6 targets for 77 yards.

Prediction

The Jets pass defense is top notch, so it will be interesting to see how C.J. Stroud works his receivers to bypass it here. The Texans are everything that the Jets are not, entertaining, energetic and fun to watch. I look forward to a Houston win here in their usual never-say-die style.
