Game Preview

Wide receiver Courtland Sutton continued his incredible season as the Broncos ran out 24-7 winners over the Chargers in week 14. The 28-year-old brought in a one-handed, diving grab for his 10th touchdown of the year, and he has only failed to find the end zone in three games this season. Running back Samaje Perine missed practice on Wednesday with a knee injury, if he misses the week 15 matchup then rookie Jaleel McLaughlin will step into the primary backup role. Tight end Greg Dulcich has been designated to return from the IR, Denver now has 21 days to activate him to the roster.

Lions’ quarterback Jared Goff has had some struggles of late, none more so than during Detroit’s 13-28 loss to the Bears. The 29-year-old veteran managed just 161 yards, one touchdown and threw two interceptions from his 35 attempts in week 14, and will need to rekindle his form if the Lions’ good season is to continue.

Prediction

Many, including me, wrote Denver off when they were 1-5 through 6 weeks of the season. The turnaround they have performed has been nothing short of remarkable, losing only 1 game since. This could be an exciting matchup and whilst Jared Goff’s form has been a worry, the Lions carry plenty of threat. I’m siding with Detroit here as the home team, but this one could go either way.
