Game Preview

The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to face the Indianapolis Colts in week 15 without their quarterback, Kenny Pickett, due to his ongoing ankle injury. The team is hopeful that the 25-year-old will be back for the game against the Bengals in week 16. Wide receiver Diontae Johnson missed Wednesday’s practice due to a knee injury, and his status will require further monitoring before Saturday’s game. Although the Steelers have several defensive players on injured reserve, they received some good news on Wednesday when linebacker T.J. Watt cleared concussion protocol. His presence alongside Cam Heyward will be a huge boost to Pittsburgh’s hopes of winning.

Colts’ running back Jonathan Taylor looks set to miss his third straight game after missing the first two practices this week. Zack Moss will continue as lead back in his absence, although he has underwhelmed through the last two weeks. WR Michael Pittman Jr. will once again be the one to watch for Indy, the 26-year-old has logged 95 receptions for 984 yards and 4 touchdowns so far this season and is well on course to break 1000 yards receiving for only the second time in his career.

Prediction

The return of T.J. Watt will make the Steelers’ defense a tougher proposition on Saturday, but the Colts are a team that I feel has been flying under the radar all season. A few poor games has set them back but I think Indy gets the job done here and advances their playoff hopes in the process.
