  • The Buccaneers beat the Falcons 29-25 in week 14.
  • The Packers lost 22-24 to the Giants on Monday night.
  • These teams last met in October 2022, with the Packers winning 14-12.

The 6-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers take on the 6-8 Green Bay Packers in this week 15 matchup between the North and South divisions of the NFC. The Buccaneers sit atop the tightest division in the NFL whilst the Packers are playing catchup as they look to make it into the playoffs.

Game Preview

Tampa Bay defeated the Atlanta 29-25 last weekend to pick up their second win on the bounce and take control of the NFC South. RB Rachaad White had another terrific game with 25 carries for 102 yards as well as 2 catches for 33 yards and a touchdown. The 24-year-old sophomore has emerged as one of the league’s top running backs this season and with four regular season games to go, could pass the 1000 yard mark for rushing if he continues at his current pace.

The Packers came out of their 22-24 loss to the Giants with yet more injury concerns. With Aaron Jones side-lined, AJ Dillon has been taking lead back duties in recent weeks but he suffered a broken thumb and is now questionable for week 15. If Jones or Dillon are out, or potentially on snap counts then Patrick Taylor will be the next man up in the running back room. WR Christian Watson missed Green Bay’s first two practices this week and seems unlikely to return, whilst Jayden Reed was limited in both with an ankle injury himself. Should both of them fail to suit up then Dontayvion Wicks and Romeo Doubs will see an increase in target share.

Prediction

Green Bay have a young team that is struggling with consistency, but things look very promising for their future. Tampa Bay on the other hand has a host of players ready for a swan song, I see them picking up the win here to advance their post season hopes.
