Game Preview

The Raiders ran riot over the Chargers in week 15, coming out 21-63 victors after resting most of their starting defensive line-up in the second half. Aidan O’Connell threw 20/34 completions for 248 yards and 4 touchdowns, his best performance since gaining the starting QB role. RB Josh Jacobs missed the game through injury, so Zamir White took over as the lead back. White managed 17 carries for 69 yards and a score, with Brandon Bolden also finding the end zone on the ground. The receiving corps all got in on the action too, with Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers scoring one a-piece and Tre Tucker grabbing two touchdowns. Josh Jacobs was upgraded to a limited participant in Friday’s practice, but remains questionable for this week 16 encounter.

The Chiefs defeated the Patriots 27-17 in week 15, as they continued their campaign for another post season appearance. Despite missing Isiah Pacheco, the running back room found the end zone twice, with TD receptions from both Jerrick McKinnon and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Rookie WR Rashee Rice once again stole the headlines though, with 9 receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown, taking his tally to 7 for the season. Pacheco was a full participant in Friday’s practice and is expected to suit up on Sunday.

Prediction

The Chiefs are heavy favorites for this one, and although I do see them winning I believe it will be a lot closer than the markets suggest. The Raiders always play tough against the Chiefs so this should be another feisty battle with Kansas City coming out on top.
