Mason Rudolph is set for his second consecutive start after throwing for 290 yards and two touchdowns in week 16’s victory over the Bengals. WR George Pickens was the primary beneficiary of Rudolph’s fine performance, catching 4 of 6 targets for a staggering 195 yards and both receiving scores.
Seattle staged a 4th quarter comeback to triumph over the Titans in week 16, winning 20-17. QB Geno Smith threw 25/36 completions for 227 yards and two 4th quarter touchdowns. WR DK Metcalf was listed as questionable on Friday’s practice report after missing Thursday’s practice with a new back injury. Coach Pete Carroll has said that Metcalf is expected to suit up on Sunday but his status will need monitoring closer to kick-off.
Prediction
The Seahawks need to win out in order to secure their playoff berth, whilst the Steelers’ fate lies in the hands of others. That should be motivation enough for Geno and his Seattle team to pick up the win here.
