The Seahawks 30-23 loss to the Steelers in week 17 has left their playoff fate in the hands of others. Seattle needs to win and hope that the Bears can defeat the Packers in order for their season not to end here in week 18. Running back Ken Walker was DNP on Wednesday’s practice report and is still struggling to overcome a shoulder injury. Zach Charbonnet would be the lead back again in his absence. Wide receiver DK Metcalf’s 106 yards against Pittsburgh took the 26-year-old past 1000 yards for the season.

The Cardinals picked up their 4th, and possibly most surprising, win of the season in week 17, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 35-31. In week 18 they have the chance to spoil the playoff ambitions of divisional rivals the Seattle Seahawks. RB James Conner will be key to any success Arizona has here, the 28-year-old has 890 yards and 6 touchdowns on 181 carries this season. Tight end Trey McBride will be the key to success in the passing game here, with 2 touchdowns and 791 yards from 78 receptions the sophomore has emerged as a real weapon in the Arizona offense in the second half of the season.

Prediction

All the pressure here will be on the Seahawks, and they are favorites to get the job done. I think it may get to them though, so I’m siding with Arizona to pull off another upset and end Seattle’s playoff hopes.
