- Chicago lost 38-20 vs Green Bay on Sunday.
- The Buccaneers defeated the Vikings 20-17 in week 1.
- These teams last met in Oct. 2021 with the Bears losing 3-38.
The Bears’ offense was kept relatively stifled by the Packers’ defense last week and Justin Fields will be looking to put up better numbers here. The Buccaneers on the other hand managed to pick up a win on the road in Minnesota and their defense will hope to put in a similar shift this week.

Game Preview
With their backfield averaging under 4 yards per carry and Fields only managing an average of 5.8 yards per pass it is little wonder that the Bears struggled to find a win over Green Bay on Sunday. Chicago is now on an 11-game losing streak (ending 2022 without a win in 10 games) and they will have to improve soon or face being also-rans in their division once again. DJ Moore was only targetted twice by Fields on Sunday and it seems simple that one key to their success will be getting the new acquisition more involved.
Baker Mayfield proved once again that he is a capable pair of hands for any football franchise as he led Tampa Bay to a 20-17 victory over the Vikings on Sunday. It may be strange territory for many of the Buccaneers receivers without Tom Brady at the helm but it seems it is business as usual for Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Evans caught 6/10 targets for 66 yards and 1 touchdown, whilst Godwin added 5/6 for 51 yards.
Prediction
The Bucs were better than many predicted as they ran out winners last week but the Bears were as bad as expected. It looks like it’s going to be another long season for Chicago unless they can turn things around quickly. I believe the Tampa Bay defense will come out on top in another close game here.
