This week 2 all-NFC West matchup has all the makings of a great game. The 49ers are hotly tipped to reach the Superbowl this season whilst the Rams are looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2022.

Game Preview
Brock Purdy and Brandon Aiyuk combined twice for touchdowns as the 49ers defeated the Steelers. Christian McCaffrey added a score and 152 yards on the ground. The 49ers have one of the most potent offenses in the NFL and their defense is first-rate. This makes them a formidable challenge for any opponent. Against the Steelers, San Francisco’s defense recorded 5 sacks and 2 interceptions. They are likely to play a huge part in this matchup against the Rams too.
With Cooper Kupp out for at least 4 weeks Rams fans were wondering who would step up in his absence. Rookie WR Puka Nacua answered the call emphatically against the Seahawks. The 22yo finished the game with 10/15 for 119 yards and left Rams fans excited for more. Kyren Williams (2 td) and Cam Akers (1 td) provided the scoring despite limited effectiveness on the ground. However, it was the receiving corps who stole the show and they will have to do the same again to be successful this week.
Prediction
It is five years since the 49ers lost a regular season game to the Rams. With Cooper Kupp ruled out it is even more of an uphill battle for Los Angeles to win this one and I can’t see it happening. I expect a high-scoring game with the 49ers coming out on top.
