The Tennessee Titans secured an overtime win over the Chargers on Sunday and their offense looked good in the process. Powerhouse RB Derrick Henry had 25 carries for 80 yards and one score and was his usual dominant self. Veteran QB Ryan Tannehill rolled back the years in this titans win. The 35-year-old signal caller went 20/24 for 248 yards and 1 TD, whilst adding 12 yards and a score on his only rushing attempt too. Big money signing Deandre Hopkins is still waiting to find the end-zone for his new team and the WR saw his opportunities drop to a mere 5 targets vs Los Angeles.
The Browns’ week 2 loss was made all the more painful due to a season-ending knee injury sustained by star running back Nick Chubb. Prior to exiting the field in Q2 Chubb had looked electric, recording 64 yards on 10 carries. Cleveland have re-signed free agent Kareem Hunt as a result of that news. It is expected that Jerome Ford will assume the RB1 duties with Hunt slotting into the support role. Hunt should therefore see the majority of his work come on 3rd downs and passing plays.
Prediction
The Browns are favorites here but the loss of Chubb may have a huge impact on the result. Whilst Ford and Hunt are capable understudies they do not carry the same threat. I’m siding with the underdog here and going for a Titans win.
