There are days when, as a football fan, you witness something truly remarkable and Sunday was one of those days. The Miami Dolphins were close to flawless in their staggering 70-20 win over Denver. Tua Tagovailoa threw 23/26 for 309 yards and 4 touchdowns before being replaced by Mike White (Who went 2/2 for 67 yards and 1 score) in the 4th quarter. Rookie RB De’Von Achane had 18 carries for 203 yards and 2 scores on the ground, as well as 4/4 receptions for 30 yards and 2 touchdowns. Not to be outdone by his rushing partner, Raheem Mostert also added four touchdowns of his own, with three of them coming on the ground. Tyreek Hill and Robbie Chosen (Formerly Anderson) also found the end zone on a day Dolphins fans will never forget. The upcoming matchup against the Bills will be a tougher test, but Jaylen Waddle may be back in the lineup for this one and this Miami team seems capable of anything this season, perhaps even a Superbowl win.
The Bills were ruthless in their 37-3 victory over the Commanders on Sunday, and they have one of the most talented offenses in the NFL this season. Even though it would be easy to wax lyrical about Josh Allen, Stefon Diggs, and co. the path to beating the Dolphins will come from their defense. Against the Commanders the Buffalo D was impeccable, coming away with 4 picks, 9 sacks, and only 3 points allowed is as close to flawless as you will see in this game.
Prediction
While both teams put on impressive performances in their week 3 matchups, one game in particular stood out. Although it may be in the realm of fantasy for the Dolphins to score 70 points in this game, it still has the potential to be a truly unforgettable match. Despite the Bills typically being favored when playing at home, I am confident that the Dolphins have what it takes to win. In fact, I’m sticking my neck on the line and predicting exactly that.
