Game Preview
The Cowboys made light work of their week 4 matchup with the Patriots, easing to a 3-38 victory. QB Dak Prescott continued his fine start to the campaign, throwing 28/34 completions for 261 yards and a touchdown. Prescott has only thrown one interception so far this season but is in for a tougher time against a talented 49ers defense here. Line Backer Micah Parsons has been limited in practice following a knee injury sustained against New England but the Cowboys are optimistic about the 24-year-old’s chances of suiting up.
QB Brock Purdy was near perfect as the 49ers defeated the Cardinals in week 4. The 23-year-old sophomore threw 20/21 completions for 283 yards and one touchdown, and also added a rushing score himself. Running Back Christian McCaffrey found the end zone four times, rushing for 106 yards and 3 scores on 20 carries and catching 7/8 for 71 yards and 1 touchdown. WR Deebo Samuel is once again limited in practice as he looks to recover from knee and rib injuries that saw him used mainly as a decoy runner last week.
Prediction
The Cowboys will push San Francisco all the way but it seems inevitable that the 49ers extend their record to 5-0 here.
