Game Preview

The Titans cruised to victory over the Bengals on Sunday, with Derrick Henry the star of the show. The 29-year-old running back ended the game with 22 carries for 122 yards and 1 touchdown as well as a 2 yard passing touchdown and one reception for 11 yards. Questions had been raised over the veteran RB’s future following a poor performance in week 3, but he answered them emphatically as he ran roughshod over the Cincinnati defense.

15 unanswered 4th quarter points dragged the Colts back into their matchup against the Rams and took the game to overtime on Sunday. The Rams closed out the game in O/T but the Colts once again proved that they are a team on the rise. Rookie QB Anthony Richardson was back in the line up and excelled with 11/25 completions for 200 yards and 2 touchdowns. The mobile quarterback also added 10 carries for 56 yards and a score and 2 two-point conversions. RB Jonathon Taylor’s 21 day window to return from the PUP list has been activated, although its been reported that the 24-year-old has stated he “still doesn’t want to play for the Colts”. As long as Taylor remains out, Zack Moss will continue as the lead back.

Prediction

I’ve mentioned the Colts a few times as a team going under the radar in their rebuild towards becoming a good NFL unit and I still believe that. The Titans will pose a tough challenge for them and this matchup could go either way. I’m siding with the Colts because I believe their superiority at the QB position will sway this matchup here.
