Game Preview
The Broncos dismal season continued as they lost 31-21 to the similarly hapless Jets in week 5. Running back Jaleel McLaughlin showed once again that he has the talent to make it at the top level, rushing for 68 yards on 9 carries and catching 3 targets for 21 yards and a touchdown. The rookie’s snap share will decrease in week 6 however with Javonte Williams practicing in full once again. TE Greg Dulcich has been activated from IR but looks unlikely to suit up until week 7 so Adam Troutman will continue to be a top target for Russ Wilson in this matchup.
Whilst Chiefs star tight-end Travis Kelce managed to return to the game, and score a touchdown, following his ankle injury on Sunday his status remains questionable for week 6. With only a short rest period until Thursday night it is 50/50 as to whether he can shake it off.
Prediction
Whilst the Chiefs haven’t looked anywhere close to their best so far this season they have got the job done for the most part. The Broncos shouldn’t pose them too many problems and I can only see a comfortable Kansas City win here.
