The 3-3 Atlanta Falcons travel to the 3-2 Tampa Bay Buccaneers in this week 7 matchup. The Falcons have a lot of youth at their disposal whilst the Buccaneers rely on wily veterans, making this an interesting encounter.

Game Preview
The Falcons are finally trying to vary their offense a little and deviate from the run first strategy. Against Washington, Desmond Ridder threw 28/47 completions for 307 yards and two touchdowns, with both of his tight ends grabbing receptions in the end zone. WR Drake London had a fine game too, catching 9/12 for 125 yards. Rookie RB Bijan Robinson was kept fairly quiet on the ground though and he will be looking to bounce back in week 7. If Ridder can cut out the interceptions then this Falcons offense may be more effective as the weeks progress.
The Buccaneers’ only points against the Lions came through the boot of kicker Chase McLaughlin as they lost 20-6. QB Baker Mayfield had a poor game by the standards he has set this season. The 28-year-old threw only 19/37 completions for 206 yards and a pick. The Lions’ defense held Tampa Bay to just 46 yards on the ground and that is a worry moving forwards.
Prediction
This has all the makings of a scrappy, low scoring affair. Tampa Bay are slight favorites but this matchup could go either way. I’m backing Atlanta to get the win purely because I believe in their star players more.
