Game Preview
The Lions made light work of the Buccaneers in week 6, winning 20-6 and stretching their lead at the top of the NFC North. Jared Goff was in great form, throwing 30/44 completions for 353 yards and 2 touchdowns. WR Amon-Ra St. Brown returned from an abdomen injury and caught 12-of-15 targets for 124 yards and one score. Running back David Montgomery looks set to miss week 7 after leaving the game against the Buccaneers with a rib injury but backup Jahmyr Gibbs is trending in the right direction for a return.
The Ravens didn’t look at their best in London as they struggled to a 24-16 win over a poor Titans team. Kicker Justin Tucker spared any blushes that may have been heading Baltimore’s way however, with the 33-year-old converting 6/6 field goal attempts. Rookie receiver Zay Flowers had another solid performance, catching 6-of-8 targets for 50 yards and one touchdown.
Prediction
Baltimore are favorites for this matchup but the Lions will not make life easy for them. Whilst Detroit’s RB room may be depleted for this contest, they still carry a lot of threat. I’m going against the market here and picking the Lions to win.
