Game Preview
Lamar Jackson was the star of the show as the Ravens thrashed the Lions in week 7. The veteran quarterback threw 21/27 completions for 357 yards and three touchdowns whilst also adding 36 yards and one score on 9 rushing attempts. Running back Gus Edwards had a monster 80 yard reception to go with his 64 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries. The Ravens’ offense is really starting to tick now and their defense has been incredible all season, allowing the fewest points against in the whole NFL.
Arizona suffered their fourth consecutive defeat in week 7, losing 10-20 to the Seattle Seahawks. The return of Kyler Murray to practice raises questions about how much longer Joshua Dobbs will remain the starting quarterback, but he is expected to start in week 8. Tight end Zach Ertz has been placed on the injured reserve due to a quad injury sustained during Sunday’s game. Sophomore Trey McBride will take over most of the snaps in Ertz’s absence. Emari Demercado has emerged as the leader in the backfield, with James Conner out. The rookie running back will have a tough matchup against the Baltimore Ravens and will hope to maintain his position as the starting running back.
Prediction
The Cardinals are huge underdogs here and that will remain the case most weeks, at least until Kyler Murray returns. The Ravens have been great so far this season and Lamar looks back to his best. Baltimore will rack up another good win here.
