Game Preview
The Eagles made light work of a weakened Dolphins secondary as they cruised to a 17-31 victory in week 7. The Philadelphia defense racked up 4 sacks, one interception and a score as they kept one of the league’s most potent offenses quiet. QB Jalen Hurts played through a knee injury during the week 7 game but has avoided the injury report and looks good to go for the matchup against the Commanders in week 8. WR A.J. Brown recorded his 5th consecutive game with 125 yards or more, tying a league record in the process.
The Commanders will bemoan some poor fortune during their 7-14 loss to the Giants but the truth is they were second best in most areas of the game on Sunday. QB Sam Howell was erratic, throwing only 22/42 completions for 249 yards with 1 interception. Washington’s ground game was almost non-existent and they will not have things any easier against a great Eagles’ defense in week 8.
Prediction
The Eagles are marching toward the playoffs once again and they will take some stopping. Washington aren’t good enough to threaten them on either side of the ball and this looks to be a one-sided matchup. The Eagles should win this one by a wide margin.
