Game Preview

With starter Ryan Tannehill injured, rookie quarterback Will Levis excelled in his NFL debut. The 24-year-old threw 19/29 completions for 238 yards and 4 touchdowns against Atlanta and has earned the role for at least another week. Deandre Hopkins caught 4/6 receptions for 128 yards and 3 scores, showing the elite level of play Titans fans expected to see more of when he signed from Arizona. Hopkins, along with RB Derrick Henry, was limited in practice on Tuesday but both are expected to suit up on Thursday night to take on the Steelers.

Steelers’ quarterback Kenny Pickett was forced out of the 20-10 loss to the Jaguars, with a rib injury. Reports are positive that he will suit up against Tennessee but if he misses then Mitch Trubisky will resume duties under center. The Steelers struggled to move the chains on Sunday, and running backs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren will have to raise their performance levels against a team ranked 11th in points allowed per game.

Prediction

Many people thought Will Levis was the most NFL ready of all the rookie QBs to enter the league this year. He certainly showed the skill and resolve required to beat the Falcons last week and I believe he can grab another win on the road here. Titans to edge it in a close matchup.
