At 2-8, they may be better off losing this week and claiming the best draft pick possible, but Bill Belichick will certainly have his team playing to win each week. They’ll be relying on the defense to aid a flailing offense down the stretch.

The Giants got a much-needed bounce back win last week in Washington. They’re now 2-0 on the season against the Commanders, but 1-8 against all other opposition. They have an easier game again this week, against a Patriots team that is the worst they’ve been in over 2 decades. Rookie QB Tommy Devito will aim to improve on his great game last week, after completing 18 of 26 passes for 246 yards, 3 TDs, and 0 INT.

Prediction

This is a matchup between two teams that rank last in their divisions. They are both essentially eliminated from playoff contention, needing a miracle to turn things around. While this game could have an impact on draft position, both coaching staffs will still be competing to win. This matchup is a rivalry, with two past Super Bowls having taken place between these teams. I’ll take the Giants in a defensive matchup at home.
