The Patriots had arguably their worst game in the Belichick era on Sunday, losing at home to the Saints, 34-0. Their defense is dealing with a myriad of injuries, and were on the field for 40 of 60 minutes, so their lack of results are forgivable. On the other hand, the offense was awful in the loss. Mac Jones completed 12 of 22 passes for 110 yards and 2 INTs, while Stevenson and Elliot rushed 16 times for just 45 total yards.

Las Vegas got a much-needed win at home against the Packers on Sunday. The offense was pedestrian, but did enough to get the win. Jakobi Meyers had another great game, reeling in 7 catches for 75 yards and a TD. It was the defense that really stood out for the Raiders. They intercepted Jordan Love 3 times, and held the Packers to under 300 yards on offense. Maxx Crosby picked up his 4th sack of the season.

Prediction

It’s hard to imagine the Patriots losing this consistently under Bill Belichick, but it’s the reality now. Their defense has been their mainstay for success without Tom Brady, but this current unit is depleted with injuries. That makes things even harder on a struggling Mac Jones. The Raiders should take full advantage of this. I expect the defense to make things very difficult for the Patriots in Las Vegas. I’ll take the Raiders.
