Seattle continued to impress last week, surging back late to take down Washington. It was a great rebound result after a horrific performance against Baltimore in the previous week. The Seahawks have climbed to 15-11 in the Geno Smith era. While the play of Smith and consistency of coach Pete Carroll have been big factors in their success, Seattle’s improved defense gives them the ability to take reach the next level.

The Rams had the week off to rest up and prepare for this game. A 3-game losing streak heading into the bye put the breaks on their momentum after a 3-3 start. Los Angeles is still in a transition stage, rebuilding the team with younger players after winning the Super Bowl a few seasons ago with veterans. The return of RB Kyren Williams should help to aid an offense that already has WRs Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua.

Prediction

With the Rams exiting the bye healthier, they should be more competitive in this game then they were in their last few games. They dominated the Seahawks in Week 1, but I would be surprised to see that same result again. I expect this game to much closer, with each team leading at some point in the second half. Ultimately, I like the Seahawks to continue their momentum and even out the season series on the road.
