Pittsburgh was the beneficiary of the Ravens resting their starters in Week 18, getting a 17-10 win against them on Saturday. Their victory, coupled with Jacksonville’s defeat, earned the Steelers their 3rd playoff appearance in the last 4 seasons. They are still seeking their first playoff win since 2016, and will face an uphill battle in this game against the surging Bills. The loss of T.J. Watt will be detrimental to their defense.

The Bills won their 5th straight game on Sunday against the Dolphins, improving to 11-6. The win allowed them to clinch the AFC East division for the 4th straight season. Buffalo is still aiming to break their 30-year Super Bowl drought, though. They are in a good position after going from 6-6 to 11-6, entering the playoffs as one of the hottest teams in a wide-open AFC. They’ll need QB Josh Allen to limit any mistakes.

Prediction

The loss of star LB T.J. Watt, who suffered an MCL sprain in Week 18, could be the deciding factor in this game. With subpar QB play and limited options on offense, the Steelers have relied on their defense all season. They are still a strong unit, but Watt’s absence will certainly make a difference. Buffalo enters this game red-hot too. I see the Bills winning here, but I’d be wary of expecting them to cover that spread.
