Preview
Houston won an absolute thriller against the Buccaneers on Sunday. It was a back-and-forth game that saw multiple miraculous scores by both teams. RB Dare Ogunbowale kicked a game-tying FG for Houston to add to the madness. The most spectacular part of the game was the performance by rookie QB C.J. Stroud, who completed 30 of 42 passes for 470 yards, 5 TDs, and 0 INTs. He was perfect in the 2nd half.
The Bengals won their 4th consecutive game on Sunday night, taking down the Bills in a key matchup. Cincinnati has gone from 1-3 to 5-3, propelled by QB Joe Burrow who started the season banged up but is now healthy. Unfortunately, they can’t catch a break, with JaMarr Chase suffering a back injury during the win. If Chase misses extended time, expect Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd to pick up the slack on offense.
Prediction
Whether or not JaMarr Chase plays could make a difference in this game, but the Bengals should be the better team here regardless. I expect them to get the win at home, but I also expect C.J. Stroud and the Texans to give them lots of trouble. It will be interesting to see how they perform against a tough Bengals defense. With the momentum Houston has, they should at least be able to cover the spread in this game.
