Team News
There should be a thrilling game in the conference semi-finals, as the Golden Knights and Oilers both have realistic hopes of winning the Stanley Cup this season. The Edmonton Oilers were excellent in their opening round series against the Los Angeles Kings, as they progressed after six games.
Their series win was finally assured with success in game six of the series over the weekend, as they picked up a healthy 5-4 win on the road. Their success on their travels was evident throughout the opening round series, as they picked up wins in two of the three games in Los Angeles.

However, the Vegas Golden Knights will have home advantage for the opening two games in this clash with the Oilers. After making a slow start in the opening round against the Winnipeg Jets, the Golden Knights cruised to success in five games. They recovered well after losing the opening game between the sides by winning each of the following four.
That included victories in each of their previous two home games. The most recent of those sealed the series’ success on Thursday, as they landed a comfortable 4-1 win at the T-Mobile Arena. They have excelled with scoring goals, as they have netted 18 in their previous four.
Picks
Itโs a little surprising to see the Oilers as the moneyline favorite for this game. We expect the Golden Knights to progress from this series, and we could see them taking an early advantage in game one.
