Team News

The Seattle Kraken have been no strangers to shock results throughout the playoffs to this point. They previously upset the odds in the opening round, as they managed to eliminate the reigning Stanley Cup champions. However, they will be looking for another shock outcome in the second round, as they bid to overcome the Dallas Stars.

The second round series couldnโ€™t have got off to a better start for the Kraken, as they landed a 5-4 overtime win in game one. Seattle started excellently in the game, as they netted four in the opening period. However, the victory wasnโ€™t assured until overtime. Goals in the win for the Kraken were netted by Jordan Eberle, Yanni Gourde, Justin Schultz, and Jaden Schwartz.

Despite suffering defeat in game one of the series, the Dallas Stars remain the clear favorites to progress from this second round tie. Dallas fought excellently to force extra time, but they may have used too much energy to force overtime, with their final two goals in regulation time being netted in the final period.

There was no denying who their standout player was on Tuesday, as Joe Pavelski scored all four for the Stars in their game one defeat. Max Domi ended the night with three assists, while Jamie Benn, Thomas Harley, and Jani Hakanpaa also ended the night with one assist apiece.

Picks

It was a thrilling game one between these sides, but we could expect a more low-scoring affair on Thursday. But, we expect the Stars to level the series in game two, before the series moves onto Seattle over the weekend.
