Team News
It may not have been the prettiest showing by the Seattle Kraken, but they remain alive in this opening round showdown against the reigning Stanley Cup champions. After losing game three, the Kraken desperately needed a success in game four to keep their hopes alive. It was a historic night at the Climate Pledge Arena, as the Kraken won their first ever home playoff game.
However, it wasnโt without its drama. The Kraken squandered a 2-0 first period advantage, before sealing the victory with a dramatic winner in the period of overtime. Daniel Sprong, Will Borgen, and Jordan Eberle scored the goals in the famous win for the Kraken.

There isnโt much that the Colorado Avalanche hasnโt seen in the playoffs over the past two years. However, this opening round showdown is already proving much trickier than their whitewash success last season. Regardless, the Avalanche will once again have home advantage for game five, as they look to move within a single victory of a spot in the next round.
As expected, the Avalanche battled strongly in game four, but they eventually came up short in their bid for back-to-back wins on the road. Mikko Rantanen was once again the star man for Colorado, as he scored twice in the defeat against the Kraken.
Picks
This series could still go either way, and the emphasis will be on home advantage over the next two games. We could see a game seven being required, with the Avalanche landing success in game five, before the Kraken strikes back in game six.
